Our History

Canton was founded by two media specialists, with nearly 40 years’ combined leadership experience at agencies and technology vendors. The rest of our team is made up of digital traders, channel practitioners and planner buyers from the agency world.

Our capabilities cover everything from technology, strategy, creative, media buying and people management. Between us, we’ve performed every job there is within digital media; we’ve built buying teams in all channels, installed new technology stacks, planned data strategy and delivered high-performing, data-led creative.

Robert Webster


Robert has worked in ad tech since 2001, after graduating in Maths and IT at university. Initially worked in the operations data, spending time at start-ups that were acquired by Yahoo and AOL. Moved buy side in 2008 where he ran data and technology at Mediacom, sitting on the board. His most recent move was to Crimtan where he was Chief Strategy Officer working across all major global markets.

Nick King


Nick has over 16 years’ experience, having held a variety of leaderships roles within both publishers and ad-tech companies. Having led the sales team at News UK he moved to Future Plc to run the digital department leading them to be one of the most programmatically advanced publishers. He has worked at a start-up, Rezonence, where he sat on the board and oversaw the trebling in revenues and  was most recently MD of Exponential.
